Cross-Contamination Notice / Allergen Disclaimer

 

At Bonjour Bakes, all of my recipes are created with gluten free ingredients. I don’t use products that are labelled “may contain gluten” when baking, and I take great care in selecting everything that goes into your cakes and treats.

However, as I bake from my home kitchen, I cannot guarantee that there is no risk of cross-contamination. Some ingredients may come from suppliers who handle gluten, and although I work hard to keep my kitchen safe, my bakes are not yet certified as coeliac-safe.

 What this means for you:

  • All bakes are made with gluten free products

  • Great care is taken in preparation and handling

  • Some ingredients may carry traces of gluten from suppliers

  • If you have coeliac disease or a severe gluten allergy, please take this into consideration before ordering​

Keeping Your Bakes Fresh

 

1. Cakes & Layer Cakes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days.

If your cake has buttercream or ganache, it can be kept in the fridge for up to 5 days — just bring to room temperature before serving for the best texture and flavour. For longer storage, cakes can be wrapped in cling film and frozen for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight.

 

2. Brownies & Cookie Boxes

Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days. Brownies and cookies can also be frozen for up to 2 months. Defrost at room temperature before enjoying.

3. Macarons

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. For best flavour, bring them to room temperature before eating.

4. Cake Popsicles

Best enjoyed straight from the fridge or freezer. If frozen, leave at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly before serving.

Extra Tips

Always keep bakes away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid storing in damp areas, which can make baked goods soggy. For cakes with fresh fruit toppings, it’s best to enjoy them within 24-48 hours for peak freshness.
